For us, corporate social responsibility is a matter of ‘A-wareness’ and socially responsible business practices. Through our actions we strive to have a positive influence on people and the planet. Our A-wareness is founded on four pillars: Environment, partnership, labour conditions and society.
Royal A-ware is involved in its local community and the people that live there. This is why we established the A-wareness Foundation. The A-wareness Foundation is an independent organization that supports special projects for people who deserve some extra help. It also wants to increase children’s knowledge of food and nutrition.
Promoting sustainability is a priority for the entire chain. We continue to challenge ourselves and our suppliers and clients to continue to make sustainable changes. In this way we build long-term relationships and make the dairy chain a little more sustainable one step at a time.
Royal A-ware invests in its employees. We provide each of our employees unique opportunities to develop their knowledge and skills. Royal A-ware wants to give long-term unemployed people the chance to work or to gain valuable work experience. We work in close association with the Dutch Employee Insurance Agency (UWV) and municipalities to help them find employment at our company.
It is important to Royal A-ware that its activities have little to no impact on the planet. We are dedicated to minimizing waste, prevent food wastage, and to reduce our carbon footprint.
