International dairy producer Royal A-ware announces that Marit van Egmond has joined its Supervisory Board. Marit van Egmond worked at Ahold Delhaize for over 25 years, the last 6.5 of which as CEO of the Albert Heijn supermarket chain, the Etos drugstore chain and the Gall & Gall liquor store chain. During that period, she achieved significant growth for the company through a strong focus on private label, digitisation, acquisitions and new partnerships.
Under her leadership, Royal A-ware and Albert Heijn developed the 'Better for Cows, Nature & Farmers' programme to make the dairy chain more sustainable. Marit van Egmond was also a member of the Top Sector Agrifood in the Netherlands for more than 10 years.
'We are delighted to welcome Marit to our Supervisory Board. Her extensive knowledge and experience will strengthen our board. Royal A-ware will certainly benefit and be able to grow further thanks to her experience in both retail and the management of international organisations,' said Jan Anker, Chairman of the Board of Royal A-ware.
