Royal A-ware first Dutch family-run dairy company with SBTi approval

The emission targets set by Royal A-ware in 2023 have been approved by the Science Based Target initiative (SBTi). This confirms that the targets comply with and contribute to the Paris climate agreement. Royal A-ware is the first Dutch family-run dairy company whose emission targets have been scientifically and independently assessed. The approval is not only an important confirmation for the dairy producer, but also for the customers A-ware supplies worldwide.

Royal A-ware Food Group reports turnover of €3.3 billion in 2023

Lopik, September 11, 2024 | In 2023, Royal A-ware Food Group achieved a net group result of €81.8 million with a turnover of €3.3 billion. This represents a 2.1% increase in revenue compared to 2022.

Royal A-ware to acquire The Dairy Food Group

Royal A-ware Food Group is planning to acquire Belgian family concern The Dairy Food Group. This includes the BMC (Belgian Milk Company) daily milk collection round as well as the companies Eurodesserts, Limelco, Incopack and Incorock. The proposed acquisition was reported to the European Commission on July 9, 2024.

We are reducing greenhouse gas emissions in partnership with our dairy farmers

At Royal A-ware, we prefer dairy products with the highest possible nutritional value and the lowest possible impact on humans, animals and the environment. We are constantly striving to make our supply chains more sustainable. And so we are working with our dairy farmers towards reducing greenhouse gas emissions. Royal A-ware produces the second-best cheese in the world

At the World Championship Cheese Contest in Wisconsin (United States), a remarkable four cheeses from Royal A-ware received awards. Additionally, one of the cheeses achieved an overall prize. Artikaas Vintage Lot 18, the entry from Dutch Cheese Makers, a subsidiary of Royal A-ware, won the overall second prize. Artikaas Vintage is thus the second-best cheese in the world. This Gouda cheese is produced at the Royal A-ware cheese factory in Heerenveen.
